Etna Community Flag Mural
We have one more FREE paint party at the Etna Community Center on Monday, June 15th 4-6pm. We are creating an indoor Flag Mural out of approximately 300- 6"x6" Canvas Panels created by our community, family and friends!! Each participant will paint a panel. All ages are welcome! If you have panels to turn in, either contact me at (307) 690-4235 to arrange a meet-up or you can drop them off at the center at the paint party.
There is no need to reserve a seat - this cart item is only for instructions and examples.
Each canvas has a predominant color labeled – either red, white, blue or black – that will create our flag and soldier silhouette. Please stick to the color scheme on each panel's back to ensure we create a fantastic mural.
Red Stripes: Each Red panel will make up our stripes. The background color and majority of the panel needs to be red or shades of red. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be red or red shades.
White Stripes: Each White panel will make up our stripes. The background color and majority of the panel needs to be white or shades of light grey. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be white or light grey shades.
Blue with White Stars: Each Blue panel will make up our Stars. The background color and majority of the panel needs to be blue or shades of blue and the Stars mostly white. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be blue or blue shades and white stars. All of the panels have either a whole star or at least a small portion. These have been penciled onto each panel.
Black Silhouette: Each Black panel will make up our saluting Soldier silhouette. The background color and majority of the panel needs to be black or shades of dark grey. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be black or dark grey shades.
Black Silhouette with Red Stripe: Each Black panel will make up our saluting Soldier silhouette. These panels will also include a portion of the background stripe. The soldier's color and majority of it needs to be black or shades of dark grey. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be black or dark grey shades. The background needs to be Red or shades of red. Please refer to the sketch on the back to determine shapes and colors.
Black Silhouette with White Stripe: Each Black panel will make up our saluting Soldier silhouette. These panels will also include a portion of the background stripe. The soldier's color and majority of it needs to be black or shades of dark grey. Small details may be other colors – but the majority needs to be black or dark grey shades. The background needs to be White or shades of light grey. Please refer to the sketch on the back to determine shapes and colors.
Your background color can be made up of shapes, landscapes, words, names, silhouettes – anything that reflects your love for the USA. You can use paint, markers, paper or even 3D items 1/2” in width or less. Some ideas are flat wood stars, gemstones, small plastic soldiers, etc. The sky is your limit! If your panel contains any inappropriate items, it will not be displayed.
